Jacob Aligo, member of Yei River state legislative assembly, told Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday that the governor of Yei Rive state formed a committee comprised of members from the army and security organs to investigate the massacre. He added that the committee started its work and will soon submit its findings.

He noted that the national government has sent troops from the regular forces to patrol the area in and around Yei to ensure the safety of the people, claiming that the security situation has since ‘returned to normal’.
