Forces of South Sudan’s two main warring factions clashed in northern Renk County this morning. It is not yet announced whether there have been casualties.
Citizens in Renk told Radio Tamazuj that rebels (SPLA-IO) attacked the army at Duk Duk area in the northern part of the county at around 4:00 a.m. They succeeded in repulsing the attack.
In spite of the fighting in Duk Duk area, the situation in the city of Renk was normal today and markets were functioning as usual.
