South Sudanese should avoid using social media to enflame ethnic tension, a top civil society leader said.

Seeing the rise in tension between tribes on social media, Akuoch Ajang, the Chairperson of the South Sudan Civil Society Alliance told the U.N. “those on social media to be positive and send messages of peace and reconciliation,”

“What are we going to earn if we kill ourselves — if we fight ourself,” Ajang said.
