A South Sudanese civil society group has strongly condemned the armed robbery of a Land Cruiser vehicle belonging to the Catholic Church at Gurei residential area in Juba city on Thursday.
In a statement extended to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, Tito Anthony, Executive Coordinator of the Centre for Peace and Justice Coordinator, condemned the incident and called on the government to investigate the matter.
Tito stressed that the robbers must be apprehended taken to court. “The government should consider deployment of organized forces to protect citizens,” partly reads the group’s statement.
