Civil servants in Wau protest salary delay

Civil servants in South Sudan’s proposed Wau State have been protested delay of their salaries according to the new salary structure passed by the government in Juba.

A number of employees who spoke with Radio Tamazuj expressed their dissatisfaction about delay of their salaries of February, asking the government for explanations.

One employee said they are expecting their salaries to be increased according to the new salary structure because employees in the national government and state institutions have received their salaries with the new increment.

Another worker said salaries delayed for more than three months now and it does not have any benefits even after it was increased. She called on the government to comply with paying the salaries on time to reduce the suffering of the people.
