Thousands of conflict-displaced persons who are sheltering inside the UN Protection of Civilians site (PoC) in Bor town in South Sudan’s Jonglei State have called on the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to relocate them to their areas of origin.
Thok Chuol, chairman of the UN camp in Bor, Radio Tamazuj yesterday that the conflict-displaced people inside the UN base in Bor demand relocation to their areas of origin in Malakal, Akobo, Bentiu and Fangak.
He further said nearly 1,500 displaced people were registered in October last year, but they have not been transported to their areas or origin so far.
