Citizens in East Darfur capital complain of water shortages

Citizens in Sudan’s East Darfur state have complained of shortages of water in the state, calling on the government to solve this problem.

A number of citizens from Ad Daein town said people are lining up in long queues to get drinking water as the summer season begins. They said this could lead to the death of cattle in the area due to shortages of water.

The citizens also complained of the high price of drinking water in the state, adding that the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) did not fulfill its promises to construct a water network in East Darfur.
