Citizens in Babanusa complain of rising cost of water

Citizens in Babanusa town of Sudan’s West Kordofan state have complained of deterioration of electricity, water, health and education servies, as well as higher prices of consumer goods in the markets.

Many citizens expressed their concern about the sharp rise in the price of commodities in general, citing that the drum of water has reached 10 SDG, though each family needs to use two drums of water per day.

They noted that most of the citizens are workers and employees in government institutions, who have lower income compared to the high prices in the markets.
