Citizens in Alor County complain of MTN network cuts

Citizens and local authorities in Alor County in South Sudan’s Western Lakes State are reporting poor services of networks for several months, effecting businesses and communications in the area.

Alor County Commissioner Simon Mathiang told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that MTN Company which is the only service provider had topped working since the outbreak of South Sudan’s civil war in 2013.

The commissioner pointed out that the service outages have cut off his county from neighbouring areas in the state and other parts of South Sudan.

Mathiang appealed to the management of the MTN Company to provide its services as soon as possible so the local authorities and the citizens can resume their activities normally.
