Citizen won over Warriors 77 points to 60 on Friday at Nimra Talata basketball stadium in Juba, South Sudan.
One player from Warriors and two from Citizen were ejected from the game by the referee, after a fight. Two were ejected for fighting while one was ejected after insulting the referee.
The match marked the first under the newly rechristened ‘Jubek State’ Basketball Association, with the participation of eight teams: Citizen, Warriors, Nimra Talata, National, Malakia, Black Star, Hangings, Hilal, and Tiger.
In the next match, Citizen will face Warriors on May 20, and again on May 25.
