Chinese state council deputy premier arrives in Khartoum

The Vice-Premier of China's State Council, Zhang Gaoli, arrived in Khartoum Friday on a two-day state visit at the invitation of the First Vice President and National Prime Minister, Lt Gen Barki Hassan Saleh.

Sudan’s Foreign Minister Ibrhim Ghandour said in a statement to SUNA that the visit of the high-level Chinese official comes for the enhancement of the strategic relation between the Sudan and China.

Ghandour further said the First Vice President Bakri Hassan Saleh and the visiting Chinese official would hold meetings at the Republican Palace to discuss economic and cultural matters between the two countries.
