An eight-year-old child died, and at least four civilians were killed in antiaircraft missile attacks and random shelling by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in North Darfur State’s El Fasher in Sudan on Friday.
The attack followed an airstrike by the Sudanese Air Force on RSF positions east and north of El Fasher Town.
A Radio Tamazuj correspondent witnessed a Sudanese Air Force warplane flying over the area for an hour, prompting RSF forces to retaliate with ground-to-air missiles.
Simultaneously, they fired indiscriminate shells west of the city, resulting in the death of a child in the Diem Seluk neighborhood, located 3 kilometers north of the Hajar Qadu market.
Multiple medical sources confirmed on Saturday that the injuries were caused by random shelling, with the toll rising to four injuries as of Saturday morning.
