The private secretary of the chief of Majok Noon Payam was shot dead by suspected cattle raiders in northern Warrap State.
Suspected cattle raiders shot and killed the personal secretary of the local chief in Twic County last weekend, according to a source in the area.
Chief Manoon Ater’s private secretary was killed when unknown cattle raiders stormed his house over the weekend and shot him with three bullets inside his house.
“Yes, he was killed by people suspected to be cattle raiders. They came at night on Sunday. The deceased was sleeping inside his tukul at the time the attackers came. He tried to fight with them, but unfortunately he was killed,” the source said.
Cases of cattle theft are common in Twic’s eastern part of Ajak Kuac and Majok Noon payams.
