A security workshop between government and rebel officers in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia is progressing well, according to a communications officer of the IGAD mediation team.

The workshop about permanent ceasefire and transitional security arrangements entered its sixth day yesterday.

IGAD Communications Officer Haile Michael told Radio Miraya yesterday, “the discussion is going well, is progressing.”

“As you know this is the most critical time and we need the parties to commit more so that you know to save the lives of South Sudanese and the nation of South Sudan,” he added.
