A cattle raider believed to be from Boma state was killed and two others injured after attacking Makol-Cuei Boma in Bor West County on Monday, a local official said.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday, Bor West County Commissioner Simon Thon Ayuen said the attackers came and took dozens of cows but the local youth managed to recover the raided cattle.
The incident, Ayuen said, took place in Makol-Cuei Boma in the village of Char-Akau where the local youth exchanged fire with the cattle raiders.
Ayuen pointed out that one of the attackers was killed during clashes and two others sustained injures. The commissioner further said there were no any casualties from their side.
On 8 June, suspected raiders from Boma state attacked the same village where they killed one person and wounded two others.
