It was reported two people died as a result of the fighting between Aguok and Apuk sections from Gogrial East and West counties.

The Commissioner of Gogrial East County Wol Anei Anei said they have concluded a peace and reconciliation agreement. says they warring sections have agreed to live in peace.

“The conflict was between two areas Ngok Kuec Mayar in Aguook community and Abior in Apuk community,” he said, stressing that the wider communities refused to get involved in the issue.

“Those who left their houses in the border during the clashes should return now because the chiefs and elders of these two areas decided to reconcile,” he said.

Wol also disclosed that investigators have established a base at Panachier village to inspect culprits and receive reports of any cases against instigators.
