The community of Busseri on Wednesday presented a petition to Wau Governor Andrea Mayar demanding a separate county in the state.

In a press statement after presenting the petition to Governor Andrea Mayer, John Gou, a community leader in Busseri, called upon the national government to give them a separate county.

John said that the area is being marginalized although it is a historical area, while urging the state governor to look into the matter.

“We met and brought the problem to be solved by Governor Andrea Mayar, we know that nobody can do it except you, because most of our previous petitions were ignored,” said John.
