Alfred Deng Mawien, the newly appointed Commissioner of Buonchuai County in the proposed Aweil State has welcomed his appointment, vowing to make the issue of security as of his top priority.
“I would like to take this interview with you as an opportunity to thank my governor, Hon. Governor Ronald Ruay Deng and those who supported me to become the first commissioner of Buonchuai County.”
He added, “It is an honour to serve the community in this capacity but which I would like everybody in Buonchuai to see it as an opportunity for all of us to contribute in their own ways to keep security of the people.”
Deng is among the eight county commissioners appointed last week by a gubernatorial order.
Governor Ronald Ruay Deng appointed Deng Amuoi Anei as the Ajak County Commissioner and Lino Lual Deng Akol as Kongder County Commissioner.
Other officials include Mangok Dhieu Nyiwel as Ajuet County Commisioner, Wilson Bol Diing Chimel County Commissioner and Majok Arol Bol, Mayom Wel County commissioner.
Kon Achuil Madut was named the Commissioner of Barmayen County and Arkangelo Uchu Decak as Aroyo County Commissioner of Aroyo.
A separate order was issued to remove and appoint a new town mayor.
Andrew Lual Buola was removed from his position less than six months since his appointment. He was replaced with former Aweil town mayor, Simon Tong.
