Joseph Afendi, a journalist who disappeared last Friday evening, was found unconscious yesterday at Hai Malakal Cemetery in Juba near Konyo-Konyo Market.

He was reportedly taken to Juba Teaching Hospital for medical attention.

This comes after a journalist working for Al Maugif newspaper, Chan Joseph Awer, was found dumped in a cemetery at Hai Rock City on Tuesday morning allegedly after being kidnapped. During his detention, he was questioned about his alleged pro-opposition positions.

Afendi himself was detained by the National Security Service from 29 December until 19 February. His family recently hosted an event offering thanksgiving for his release. A security source told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that he was taken into their custody since last Friday.
