Sudan’s capital Khartoum is reportedly facing a shortage of bread at bakeries due to a lack of flour in the area.

Several citizens in Khartoum suburbs complained about overcrowding of people at the bakeries especially during evening hours.

Some of the flour mills have recently reduced their production after the government allegedly attempted to force them to use local wheat flour in bread making.

However, after bakery owners rejected to implement the order, the two sides reportedly agreed to a compromise to mix the local wheat and the imported one.
