Ad Duwaim town in Sudan’s White Nile state is reportedly facing a severe shortage of bread at bakeries due to a lack of flour in the area.
Several bakers told Radio Tamazuj that they have run out of flour since Eid al-Adha feast.
Consumption of bread at the market has dramatically increased recently in the town after the opening of a bridge connecting Ad Duwaim to Abu Habira village, allowing more people to come to the town to shop.
