A boy of below 18 years old was accidentally shot dead by another boy on Wednesday in Kuajok city in Warrap as they were playing with a gun left unsecured by an adult.
“The uncle of the boy who was killed left his gun inside the room and the boys came and play inside the room. From there nobody knows what happened whether they were playing with it or not, we just heard the sound of a gun and when we came in we found the victim was shot dead while seated on a chair,” explained an eyewitness who was present at the time of incident.
The same eyewitness added that after the boy realized he had killed his uncle’s son, then he ran and climb in a tree and threw himself down in an attempt to commit suicide and as a result one of his arms was dislocated.
The eyewitness also confirmed that the owner of the gun and the boy were arrested and taken to Kuajok police station for investigation.
Meanwhile at Wunrok in Twic County, a prison officer has shot three of his colleagues after he learned that his wife reported to his boss he did not support her with children at home even if he received his salaries.
The soldier was also shot on both legs by another officer when he was trying to escape.
“After his wife reported the matter to his boss, the boss called him into his office just to ask why he is not helping his wife and children and from there he felt angry and open fire on his boss and two other colleagues who were in the office, and then try to run away but he was also shot on both legs by another officer,” said an eyewitness in Wunrok.
The four were rushed to the CCM hospital in Turalei for treatment yesterday evening. A source there confirmed to Radio Tamazuj that their condition is stable and they are still in the hospital for observation.
