The Bor hospital is facing a severe shortage of medicines, according to the acting director general of the ministry of health.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Thursday, Dr. Moses Gak said the facility has run out of malaria drugs and other life-saving medicines.

He pointed out that they have not yet received the hospital’s medical supplies from the National Ministry of Health in Juba.

“We did not receive any medical consignment from the central government since April, so we are still waiting for them to bring the medicines,”he said.

He noted that members of the public who come as patients to the hospital are told to buy drugs from the private drugs shops.

Gak called on the health organizations and relevant authorities to provide medical supplies to the hospital so that they can be able to render good medical treatments to the patients.
