Citizens in Bor County in South Sudan’s Jonglei State are complaining about increasing prices at the market as the local currency dropped to its lowest level against the US dollar.
Isaac Mamer Ruk, Bor County Commissioner, admitted the citizens were experiencing the increasing prices of commodities at the market.
The county official attributed the problem to scarcity of dollars at the market.
He told Radio Tamazuj that he will hold a meeting with officials from the state Ministry of Finance to discuss the issue of the high prices.
