The Sudanese Air Force reportedly bombed the areas of El Azrag, Kauda and Kambara in Heiban locality, South Kordofan.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, sources reported that on Tuesday aerial bombardments forced several residents of the area to flee their homes. Shop owners closed the market in search for safe refuge.
The bombing started in the morning and continued for an hour, according to the sources.
The official spokesperson for the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N), Arno Ngutulu Lodi, told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that SPLM-N forces, under the umbrella of the the Sudan Revolutionary Front (SRF, an alliance of armed rebel movements and opposition parties), has been able to expel the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) from the area of Fayu area, west of Dalami in the Nuba Mountains.
“The SPLM-N captured the military equipment in good condition: one Korean jeep (Akama), two 12.7mm machine guns, two PKM machine guns, two 60mm mortars, two RPG-7, two tractors, and a large quantity of shells and ammunition.”
Lodi added to Radio Dabanga that fighting “with the remaining army forces” is continuing in the area of Wali Abu Sida in Delling County. “Our SRF forces are in control of the situation.”
