The cabinet of Boma state, one of South Sudan’s newly created states, took their oath of office before appointed state governor Ismail Konyi in Juba on Friday.

The cabinet of Boma state, one of South Sudan’s newly created states, took their oath of office before appointed state governor Ismail Konyi in Juba on Friday.

Speaking during the event, Governor Konyi urged his new cabinet to work hard in order to make change in Boma state. “We must work hand in hand with communities to improve the security situation,” he said.

The governor had appointed seven state ministers including the deputy governor and five advisors. He also appointed three county commissioners and three sub-county administrators.

Konyi appointed Col. Omot Ogol Abay as his new deputy after sacking Rachael Anok Omot who has now become the state adviser for gender.
