A missing man has been found dead in a forest in Wulu County, Lakes State. The motive behind the killing is not clear, though he may have been the victim of a roadside robbery along the Mvolo-Wulu road.
Wulu County Commissioner Benjamin Akol Muorwel said investigators found a document in the pocket of the man which possibly identifies him.
“On 15 November, I received information from CID Officers of Wulu County concerning the man who was last seen two weeks ago and was found on the road between Wakou and Mvolo by bushmen,” the commissioner said, speaking to Radio Miraya.
“The security organs of the state came and collected the body to Rumbek. Unfortunately, the body had been in the bush for two weeks and nobody knew. The man has been identified through documents the CID got from his pockets – a receipt for a motorbike in the names of Simba Juma, who was Lagara by tribe.”
