Blue Nile students launch communal dialogue campaign

The Students Union in Roseires town in Sudan’s Blue Nile State has launched a campaign to enhance ‘communal national dialogue’ under the auspices of the state governor Hussein Yassin Hamad.

The Students Union in Roseires town in Sudan’s Blue Nile State has launched a campaign to enhance ‘communal national dialogue’ under the auspices of the state governor Hussein Yassin Hamad.

The event was launched under the theme “With Dialogue We Can Make Peace”. Addressing the event, Governor Yassin stressed the importance of dialogue between different communities in order reach common ground and then promote a culture of social peace.

He called on the SPLA-N rebels to return back home. For his part, the head of the student union said that the campaign will be carried out across the state, saying demonstrations and processions will be organized to call for peace, besides rehabilitation and training programs.
