At least seven children have died from malnutrition recently at the Tango Camp for Blue Nile refugees in Ethiopia, a medical source said Friday.

The source told Radio Tamazuj that the Blue Nile refugees are suffering badly due to shortages of food and medicine.

He said there has been a spread of ailments including malnutrition at the camp amid absence of humanitarian relief by international NGOs operating in the area.

The source further warned of humanitarian crisis at the camp if the situation continues as such.
