Blue Nile governor: 'security dramatically improved'

Last month's meeting between the presidents of Sudan and South Sudan in Khartoum has “dramatically improved the security situation” in Blue Nile, the state governor declared.

Speaking to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA), Governor Hussein Yasin, also said that the opening of crossing points between Sudan and South Sudan would help both sides to achieve stability and economic prosperity.

Yasin noted that his government is focused on development projects and he called on financiers to invest in agriculture, mining, and animal resources in the Blue Nile state.
