South Sudan’s Bieh State government on Tuesday held a public rally in Waat town to disseminate the September peace deal.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday, Peter Nin, Bieh State information minister said the rally attended by the civil population, women and youth groups and the members of the religious groups was aimed at creating awareness on the terms of the peace deal.
“We informed them on what has taken place since the agreement was signed. And at the same time, we urged civilians to work collaboratively with the government to provide security in the area and commit to implementing the agreement,” he said.
Minister Nin revealed that the state officials have agreed with the rebel generals to allow free movement of civilians in the state.
