In a closely contested match in Juba on Saturday, Citizen led by coach Hadaf Mawien Atem defeated Gudele led by coach Santo Riek 81-67.
This comes in the fourth week of the basketball competitions of Central Equatoria Basketball Association (CESBA). The fifth week will start with a meeting of Nasir and Malakia on Wednesday, and Munuki with Citizen on Thursday, and National against Tiger on Friday, and Black against Gudele on Saturday, and Warriors against Hilal on Sunday.
Citizen’s Coach Hadaf said he had expected to win by more, while for his part Santo who took charge of the Gudele coaching only a few days ago said that his team lost due to inadequate exercise. Citizen’s roster includes Ayeul Leek, Dor, Garang Kur, Seifeldin, Chan, Majak Atem Atem, Alfred John, Leek Leek, Gop Isiaac, and Biar Ajang.
Gudele’s team includes Deng Kon, Machar, Justin Majur, Kob Christ, Naar, Tande, Lual Deng, Madut Myuol, Tito Angara, Wol John, Ngor and Chupuor.
