Citizens in Babanusa town in Sudan’s West Kordofan state are reporting shortages of water and power supplies, prompting hundreds of residents to petition the locality commissioner to reduce electric and water bills.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, several residents of Babanusa said they were experiencing persistent power blackouts and water shortages, adding that they cannot continue paying 110 SDG every month to get services for four to five days only.
They called on the authorities to provide water and electricity supplies to alleviate the impact on the people.
