Shoppers in Aweil town in South Sudan’s Aweil State have complained that prices of commodities, clothing and shoes are soaring.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Friday, Wol Amuk, deputy chairman for Aweil state chamber of commerce, said the prcices of clothing are very expensive compared with food items.
Wol Amuk, deputy chairman of Aweil state, confirmed to Radio Tamazuj that the town is witnessing increasing prices in the run-up to the Christmas season.
He pointed out that prices hone gone up because many families want to buy new outfits for their children at this time.
