The Aweil State Legislative Assembly is expected to select chairpersons of specialized committees. However, the state is also still lacking a constitution. 

Legislative Assembly Chief Whip Aguer Wol Aguer said the parliament will share seats with other political parties in the state. According to him, the SPLM State Secretariat is in consultations and will recommend their members who will win some seats as parliament specialized committee chairs.

He also announced commitment of the parliament in recognizing roles of other political parties saying that those parties will recommend their members according to their policies.
