Six fake money dealers were last week arrested in South Sudan’s Aweil state, a senior police officer said on Thursday.
The acting state police commissioner, Col. Arkangelo Guot Ngor said four of the suspects are foreigners while the two are South Sudanese.
Also seized, he said, was a money-printing machine. The suspects were found in possession of 190,000 SSP, Ngor disclosed.
“The network was producing 500 South Sudan banknotes,” he said.
The accused, he added, are in detention as investigations continue.
