Members of the Aweil parliament have resumed their parliamentary business after being on recess for about three months.

The session was opened officially by officially Governor Yournew Wol Kuot.

Speaking to the press yesterday, James Wieu Mayol, Minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports, said the governor appreciated President Kiir for giving him a chance to lead the state.

He pointed out that the governor called for implementation of the 2015 peace agreement. “The governor also talked about the support to the ongoing national dialogue as the only way to bring peace in the country,” said Mayol.
