The outgoing commissioner of Aweil North County Kuol Athuai has welcomed the appointment of new cabinet ministers and commissioners of some counties in Northern Bahr al Ghazal State.
Kuol told Radio Tamazuj that he had no reservations about the new appointments made by the Caretaker Governor Kuel Aguer.
“No, no I done have comment on my removal from being commissioner of Aweil North and appointment as State Advisor on Border Issues because it was the right of the head of the state to make reshuffles according to the way he thinks to be fine with him and to the people of the state,” Kuol said.
Kuol is being replaced by Major Kon Angok.
Asked whether he has achieved anything during his time as commissioner, Kuol said it is for other people to appreciate him and not him to praise himself.
He mentioned that the Rezeigat tribe bordering Aweil North County between Sudan and South Sudan should remain calm because he is going to work to improve relations between them and Dinka Malual.
