Aweil Islamic Council urges political leaders to shun tribalism

The Islamic Council in Northern Bahr al Ghazal State has urged South Sudan political leaders to shun tribalism and promote peace on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

The Islamic Council in Northern Bahr al Ghazal State has urged South Sudan political leaders to shun tribalism and promote peace on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

Northern Bahr el Ghazal Secretary General for the Islamic Council Anyar Madut Akech told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that they held especial prayers for South Sudan stakeholders to deplore tribalism.

“Without peace, the country will not move ahead. All friends in peace, God will support them in order to bring about peace in the country and fight against tribalism which is destroying our nation,” said Madut.
