The ministry of health in South Sudan’s Aweil state said it has started to review all licenses for private pharmacies and clinics, while threatening to close down all unlicensed pharmacies in the state.

Albert Anei Mawien, Head of the Curative Medicine Department, made this known in an interview with Radio Tamazuj on Wednesday.

He pointed out that they have already started to renew expired licenses and register new health facilities. The official warned that whoever violates the order will face the law.
