Aweil governors pledge to strengthen relations between communities

Governors  of Aweil State and Aweil East state on Sunday held a joint community briefing at which they pledged to continue to work together and strengthen relations between the citizens and communities from the two new states.

Aweil East State Governor Deng Deng Akuei said on Monday he and his Aweil State counterpart Ronald Ruay Deng held a joint community briefing at South Sudan Hotel in Juba following their appointments by Salva Kiir.

“We held a joint community briefing at South Sudan hotel on Sunday. The objective was to give thanks to our people for the support they extended to us and to the president for listening and responded wisely to the demand of the people of this country,” said Deng.

“The issue of more states should be taken positively and support our president in all the decisions he makes in the interest of peace and stability of this country. All the decisions of the president are made in the interest of the people of South Sudan and the country,” Deng added
