The government of Aweil State said it has approved new flags for eight counties and Aweil town council in the state.

Benson Upuothmalo, head of Aweil parliamentary committee for information, told Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday that the state parliament and the executive have approved new flags for all eight counties and Aweil municipality.

Benson confirmed that the flags were official approved after the state parliament resumed its work after recess earlier this month. He also revealed that several payams were also endorsed.
