The governor of South Sudan’s Aweil East state has issued a gubernatorial decree sacking Madhol county commissioner and replacing him with a new government official.

The governor of South Sudan’s Aweil East state has issued a gubernatorial decree sacking Madhol county commissioner and replacing him with a new government official.

Governor Deng Deng Akuei, according to the decree announced on Friday evening, removed Manut Yel Lual from his position as the commissioner of Madhol County less than six months since the appointment was made.

Governor Deng Deng appointed Peter Mou Kuan as the new county commissioner. No reasons were given for changes.

The new county commissioner has confirmed to Radio Tamazuj on Saturday the appointment and the former official confirmed on Friday that he had been removed from the position.

Manut said he was not aware of the changes. He did not provide more details about the changes and how he feels.

The new county commissioner had served in several political and private assignments in various governments.
