Aweil East governor sacks agriculture minister, appoints successor

The governor of South Sudan’s Aweil East state has issued a gubernatorial order sacking the state minister of agriculture and appointing a new official.

The governor of South Sudan’s Aweil East state has issued a gubernatorial order sacking the state minister of agriculture and appointing a new official.

Governor Deng Deng Akuei, according to the order which became public on Monday evening, has removed Achol Zachariah Ngor from her position as the minister of agriculture without any new assignment. Achol was replaced with John Amar Akok.

 Until his appointment by gubernatorial Amar was the mayor of Malualkon municipality.

The governor issued another order appointing Garang Gau Akot as the new Town Mayor of MalualKon Municipal Council. No reasons were given for the changes in the Ministry of agriculture.
