The governor of South Sudan’s Aweil East state has removed a long-serving coordinator of the state in the nation’s capital and replaced him with a new official.
Governor Deng Deng Akuei, according to the order which became public on Wednesday evening, removed Uyai Kuek Lual from his position as state coordinator in Juba and replaced him with his deputy Akol Mathiang. No reasons were cited for the new changes.
The newly appointed official had served in the same capacity as coordinator for the defunct Northern Bahr al Ghazal state.
