Governor of Aweil East State Deng Deng Akuei together with his entire cabinet has donated money for helping wounded and sick soldiers at the Wunyiik Military Hospital.
The governor’s visit was his first to the SPLA 3rd Division headquarters at Wunyiik since the creation of the new state.
The one day visit aimed to deliver a donation of 100,000 SSP as assistance to the army hospital and encourage soldiers there.
“The purpose of this donation is to help administration of army hospital to provide patients/soldiers admitted in the facility to buy food and some medicines that they are unable to get in their facility,” said Ayuel Yai Deng, the minister of information for Aweil East State in an interview with Radio Tamazuj on Friday evening.
He pointed that the money was received by the SPLA commander of 3rd Division whom he said was impressed and appreciated the government of Aweil East State for the support extended.
