The Governor of Aweil East State, Deng Deng Akuei, has issued a decision removing two mayors of Malaulkon and Majok Yithiou towns and appointing new officials.

In a gubernatorial decree on Thursday, Deng removed Ayuel Yai Deng from his position as mayor of Malualkon municipality and replaced him with his deputy Amar Akook Amuk.

The governor also removed Jacob Duang Mawien from his position as mayor of Majok Yithiou municipality and replaced him with Manut Yel Lual, who had served as director of Warawar taxation department.

Jacob Duang Mawien has been reappointed as deputy mayor of Malualkon town council.
