The Governor of Aweil East State, Deng Deng Akuei, has issued a decree appointing a new education minister after appointing the former minister as deputy governor.
According to the gubernatorial decree on Wednesday, Governor Deng appointed Kiir Majok Kiir as new minister of education. Kiir replaced William Ater Lual Ater, who was appointed as deputy governor in the recent cabinet reshuffle.
The new minister has already taken oath of office and assumed his duties after appointment.
