Northern Bahr al Ghazal’s Disabled Union in Aweil Town was attacked two nights ago and thieves reportedly stole a machine which produces mobility devices for Union members.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj Friday, Union Secretary General Moses Kiir Yuum said the premises were looted and that they will investigate the matter through legal means.
“A group came and attacked the people staying at the center and took some things,” he said. “This is a crime. This is not the right administrative way to do things. If you are administrative you shouldn’t do something like that.”
Another source from the Union accused the organization’s former leaders for being involved with the attack. The source said those leaders were recently fired from their positions due to “poor management.”
