Local authorities in Gogrial of South Sudan’s Warrap announced Monday that they have arrested 6 police officers in connection with the killing of an SPLA soldier.
The appointed governor of proposed Gogrial state Abraham Gum told Radio Tamazuj that an SPLA soldier was going to his home earlier last week when a police patrol stopped him and shot him dead.
Abraham said the police claimed the soldier was involved in nighttime robberies.
He added that the authorities have arrested the suspects and investigations are underway and the suspects will be taken to the court.
